MetroPCS has launched its latest Android smartphone, this one being a direct replacement for the now aged and long discontinued LG Optimus M in the M+.

As denoted by the slight change in name, the Optimus M+ is all about subtle and slight updates rather than a full upgrade, with a slightly larger 3.5 inch HVGA resolution display, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, upgraded 5.0 megapixel camera with LED flash and HD video capture, increased user accessible internal memory with microSD slot and Wi-Fi N radio to round out the spec sheet.

The phone is now available from MetroPCS dealers and direct retail stores for $129.00+tax and activation on a new service plan which is now limited to the new throttled $50 and $60 service plans for new customers, while customers on the previous plans can purchase the phone and retain their old plans with no issues.
